Nestled in the heart of Chester County’s Kennett Consolidated School District (KCSD), New Garden Elementary School serves as a welcoming home-away-from-home for approximately 500 first through fifth-grade students. At New Garden Elementary, students receive direct instruction in core subjects by highly qualified teachers in language arts, mathematics, reading, science, and social studies. Beyond academics, students have the opportunity to explore STEM, art, music, physical education, health, and more.

District and School Data: Future Ready Index
The Future Ready PA Index is a collection of school progress measures related to school and student success. The Index includes a range of assessment, on-track, and readiness indicators, to more accurately report student learning, growth, and success in the classroom and beyond.
Efforts to mitigate the Covid-19 pandemic have impacted the availability of some data.
Originally constructed in 1960, the school’s front section was completed in 1966, with additional expansions in 1989 and 1995. As we look to the future, we are excited to be building a “New” New Garden Elementary School.
Groundbreaking began in May 2024, and the new state-of-the-art facility will open its doors to students in August 2026.
Located on a sprawling 25-acre site on New Garden Road in New Garden Township, the new school will span 105,000 square feet, featuring 30 general classrooms and accommodating up to 660 students. Designed with purpose and innovation, the new building will include modern learning spaces that inspire a love of learning and foster creativity and collaboration for all students.
