Two New Garden Students Receive the Kennett Education Award

For the Annual Kennett Education Association Scholarship, two current students at New Garden Elementary School were awarded a certificate and gift card for outstanding academics and school citizenship. Fifth Grade Visits Myrick Conservation Center

New Garden Elementary School’s fifth grade students recently visited the Myrick Conservation Center. Their visit was divided into two parts. For the first half, students were engaged in a variety of problem-solving experiences. These activities were designed to break down barriers, foster teamwork, and identify potential leadership among students. During the second half of their visit, the students took a sensory journey around a pond. During their journey, the students completed a pond study and learned how the inhabitants of the pond live and thrive in their community.

The Class of 2033’s Time Capsules

First Graders had a big day! All 300+ members of the Class of 2033 traveled to Kennett High School, where they commemorated a special time capsule created on 2/22/22. The same students will open its contents again on 3/3/33 as High School Seniors! Special thanks to the Kennett Education Foundation for funding this initiative!
