There’s so much still going on this month. Check back often for updates!
Philadelphia Soul Visits New Garden
A representative from the Philadelphia Soul visited New Garden Elementary School recently to invite the school to a game. While he was at the school he discussed making healthy food choices and the benefits of exercising. He also encouraged the students to keep a exercise and eating log. If students do this, they can turn the log in at a future game to receive a Philadelphia Soul poster.
Science Day at Hershey Park
New Garden Elementary School’s fifth grade student went on an expedition to Hershey Park’s Science Day. This day was much more than enjoying the rides! Students did an activity about velocity by looking at the horses in the carousel and measuring the speed of five rotations, and calculated the speed of the park’s many roller coasters. In addition, students went to the Hershey Park Zoo and saw special animals like the bald eagle and owls. When the science part of the day was done, the students were free to enjoy the many attractions at the park.
New Garden’s Spring Concert
New Garden Elementary School’s families, students, faculty, and staff were recently treated to a very special concert by the fourth and fifth grade chorus, the Diana Reece Memorial Orff Ensemble, and the Latin Percussion Ensemble. Under the direction of Mr. Ryan Battin, with the help of Mrs. Kristi Pizzini and Miss Sarah Ploener, melodious selections were played like “Rain Dance,” “Diggidong,” and “Abreme La Puerta.”
For those of you who were no able to join us in person, here is the New Garden Choral Concert in its entirety. Happy viewing!!
