STEM at Kennett
The STEM elective courses engage students in activities, projects, and problem-based learning to provide hands-on classroom experiences. Students create, design, build, discover, collaborate and solve problems while applying what they learn in math and science. They are also exposed to STEM fields with professionals who supplement the real-world aspect of the curriculum through mentorships and workplace experiences.

The Educator Effectiveness System (Act 82 of 2012) is designed to evaluate both principals and teachers. Teacher evaluations are based upon classroom observations, teacher specific data, elective data, and building level data. The building level data is the school academic performance score derived from the Pennsylvania School Performance Profile.

A Message from Dr. Tomasetti
Dear Prospective Kennett Resident,
I realize there are several considerations in the process of choosing a new home. Obviously, one of those is finding a home in the attendance area of an excellent school system. As the superintendent and the father of two current Kennett students and one graduate, I assure you that you have come to the right place. My family and I have found the Kennett Consolidated School District to be one that has enabled our children to grow academically and socially.
To help you learn more about our schools, the staff and I invite you to review this electronic portfolio that highlights the many qualities of Kennett schools. The information will also provide you with an “avenue” to speak to parents who will share their thoughts about our schools.
Thank you for taking the time to explore the Kennett area and the Kennett schools, and please contact me if you would like any additional information. I welcome the opportunity to respond to any questions you may have.
