Academics

New Garden Elementary School is home-away-from-home to 495 first through fifth grade students. The elementary years are a time when students begin to develop feelings of competence and confidence.

Our elementary staff play a vital role in the development process. They support our students as they learn skills that will shape their understanding of the world and themselves.

In addition to individualized instruction in the core areas of language arts, math, reading, science and social studies, students at New Garden explore art, music, physical education and more.

Reporting to Parents or Guardians

  • Report cards are distributed to parents three (3) times a year.
  • In the fall and spring, conferences are held with parents so that they might have a chance to speak to the teacher in greater depth about the progress of their child.
  • Parent conferences are held on two days in the fall and two days in the spring. Interpreters are available for our non-English speaking parents.
  • School will be closed for students on Parent Teacher Conference days.
  • Parents are urged to attend the two-parent conferences and to review and respond to all of your child’s report cards.

Future Ready PA Index

The Future Ready PA Index is a collection of school progress measures related to school and student success. The Index includes a range of assessment, on-track, and readiness indicators, to more accurately report student learning, growth, and success in the classroom and beyond.

Efforts to mitigate the Covid-19 pandemic have impacted the availability of some data.
